You've passed your test so now your ready for Pass Plus.

The intensive training course that will help you become a better driver and get a discount on your insurance. So besides improving your driving skills, it could help you save money.

The Driving Standards Agency has designed a course of driving tuition to improve the skills of new drivers where they may have have had little experience and reduce the risk of being involved in an accident.

There are 6 modules to the Pass Plus course. These are :-

• Module 1 - Introduction/Town Driving
• Module 2 - All Weather Driving
• Module 3 - Out of Town Driving and Rural Roads
• Module 4 - Night Driving
• Module 5 - Dual-Carriageway Driving
• Module 6 - Motorway Driving

You undertake the 6 modules that make up the course. Your instructor will record the details of your training and send the completed form to the Driving Standards Agency at the end of the course. After successfully completing the whole course you will receive a certificate from the Driving Standards Agency. You can then send this certificate to one of the participating insurance companies to claim your premium discount.

You have 12 months from the date you passed your practical test to complete the Pass Plus course. However, the longer you leave it, the harder you may find it to reach the standards required.
